When more than 40 people on South Australia’s Eyre Peninsula recently gathered to do a 12-kilometre Walk My Way to support refugee children through ALWS, young Amos says it was worth the exhaustion.

The team at Glynde Lutheran Church in the inner northeast of Adelaide have found the recipe to get people together. They are now open for business almost every day of the week, demonstrating what a truly multicultural group can look like.

When Barbara Metzger welcomed new client Helen to her Adelaide Hills bed and breakfast 15 years ago, little did she know the meeting would lead to an enduring friendship and a life-changing spiritual journey for the two women.

Great things are happening in Murray Bridge, South Australia, of late, including the decision of three local congregations to unite.

What started as a simple idea of having a small stall at a community fun day in May 2022 has been a catalyst to enthuse church members from The Ark Salisbury Lutheran Church to engage in more community outreach.

Walk My Way is back for 2022 and is already having a big impact on the lives and futures of children living as refugees – with more than $34,000 raised as of 24 May.
