Members of Victor Harbor Lutheran Church, South Australia and representatives of nearby Encounter Lutheran College and the area’s Aboriginal community gathered on Sunday to mark a special anniversary – 180 years since Encounter Bay’s first mission school opened.

The Amunturrngu Mount Liebig Church building was completed around the year 2000. At that time, it was just a large shed, serving the community’s basic needs for a place of worship and gathering.

Building and maintaining strong relationships is at the heart of what the LLL does; therefore, members of the LLL team were delighted to visit with partners Unity College and Murray Bridge Lutheran Villages (MBLV) recently.

It seemed like any other Saturday morning at coastal Seacliff in suburban Adelaide. But it was anything but an ordinary day at the beach for the Bruning family, who were about to be baptised in front of friends and members of their church family of Faith Lutheran Warradale.

Lutheran primary school student leaders in New South Wales and the Northern Territory have had the opportunity to attend Australian Lutheran College sessions on Christian leadership for the first time in 2024.
