After more than 70 years of providing financial services and funding support to Lutherans in New Zealand, the Lutheran Laymen’s League of NZ is set to close.

This year marks the 175th anniversary of the establishment of the Lutheran church in New Zealand and descendants of early German settlers will celebrate with a weekend of events in October.

To commemorate the 500th anniversary of the Reformation last year, the Lutheran Church of New Zealand, in partnership with Radio New Zealand, recorded and broadcast the Bach Cantata Vespers.
