It felt like Pentecost came early this year for the 50 delegates who gathered recently for the national Cross-Cultural Conference, ‘Moving into the neighbourhood’.

 More than 50 people re-considered their local neighbourhoods as mission fields during last weekend’s 2023 LCANZ Cross-Cultural Ministry conference in Melbourne. 

Camping experiences offered to school-aged students provide a unique experience that can have a lasting impact on their formation of faith.

Pentecost is the season of the church year when we read of the Spirit, coming as ‘a sound like the blowing of a violent wind’ and appearing like ‘tongues of fire that separated and came to rest on each of them’ (the Apostles).

Many of us are familiar with the African proverb, ‘It takes a village to raise a child’. As congregations, we can potentially provide a great village to support parents in raising their children in life and in faith.

Mother’s Day can be a great time to share Messages of Hope with the people in your congregation or local community on your social media pages, during worship, or as a devotion for the various groups that meet at your church during the week.
