It’s a long way from a Grade 4 classroom in Queensland to the frontline of the war in Ukraine. And it feels a long way from a cosy bed to sleeping on the floor. Yet 9-year-old Chloe, inspired by a class project on ‘Why experiencing God’s love can inspire someone to make a sacrifice to help others’,

Walk My Way is back for 2022 and is already having a big impact on the lives and futures of children living as refugees – with more than $34,000 raised as of 24 May.

Our TV screens are filled with the horror of children suffering from war. Meet Hannah, from eastern Melbourne, who’s determined to help in any way she can.

Our Lutheran family and friends in Australia have helped to send more than 14,000 refugee children to school through Australian Lutheran World Service’s Walk My Way in 2021.

In the wake of devastating and deadly bushfires in the Adelaide Hills in December 2019, Lobethal Lutheran School teamed up with Spring Head Lutheran congregation to establish an outdoor learning program and encourage local children to reconnect with the surrounding bush.
