As Australians prepare to vote in the 2019 federal election, LCA Bishop John Henderson has emphasised that voting is a sacrosanct privilege.

Pastor Robert Bartholomaeus has been installed as bishop of the LCA’s New South Wales district by LCA Bishop John Henderson.

Yesterday Bishop James Haak was farewelled by mourners at his funeral service at Peace Lutheran Church, Gatton, where he had served as the congregation’s pastor for 11 years.

The LCA/NZ is mourning the death of respected and loved Bishop of New South Wales, Pastor James Haak, who died suddenly in Adelaide on 20 October.

Pastor Paul Smith has been re-elected as Bishop of the LCA’s Queensland District, to serve for the next three-year term. He was first elected to the post at the district’s 2015 convention.
