Resources for Schools and Agencies
There are many resources available online to give hints and ideas for how to live more sustainably, and to take action to care for God’s creation.
Many schools and agencies will already have their own actions and initiatives underway in this area.
Here are some links that might help with those still developing their creation care roadmaps.
For school-aged youth, Earth Guardians is a secular youth-led organisation for environmental advocacy, with existing crews in Melbourne, Adelaide, Perth, Newcastle, Tasmania and New Zealand.
A Sustainability Roadmap for the Anglican Church of Southern Queensland might provide a useful exemplar for churches and agencies looking to develop their own sustainability roadmap.
Health and Climate Policy: In the Aged Care, Healthcare and Disability spaces, the Australian Government is currently in the process of developing a national policy on Health and Climate.
CAHA (Climate and Health Alliance) is a peak industry body that is investigating the issue of Climate Change within the Health sector. They organise events and provide resources for greening the health sector and have an email newsletter.
Australian Nurses & Midwives Association is an example of one industry body that provides resources on the impacts of climate change.
United Nations (OHCHR – Office of the High Commissioner, Human Rights) provide information on the effects of Climate Change and Disability.
