Srey Lin grew up as a Buddhist: ‘I didn’t have anything inside to know I was able to pray’. Then, in the Lutheran church in a Cambodian village, she is baptised, together with her mother.

Matt’s the extrovert; he’s great at conversation and drawing people in. I’m the introvert; I love hospitality, cooking and creating a space where people feel comfortable. We’re really looking forward to creating a missional community. You just have to find the place that God’s been calling you to.

Make friendships for friendship’s sake, not with an evangelism target in mind. Just live your life, and wait for God to open up opportunities to share the good news if people ask the question. And that’s all there is to it.

We Lutherans often miss the fact that in our baptism the Spirit of God comes to live in us. We need to change our thinking from ‘I need to share my faith’ to ‘How can I participate with the Spirit who lives in me?’
