The 2024 Lutheran Media Calendar has arrived

Once again, Lutheran Media has produced a beautiful wall calendar available for everyone.

The 2024 calendar is filled with stunning images from competition-winning photographers from Australia and New Zealand. Thank you to all who entered the competition with your photos. Your photos have produced an inspiring and hope-filled calendar.

Apart from spectacular photography, each day includes a Scripture reading based on the lectionary readings. Significant days for New Zealand and Australia are also listed.

So, how can the Lutheran Media calendar be used to bless others and yourself?

• Gift the calendar to a friend, neighbour or family member. When they use the calendar each month, they will find a Bible verse that complements the image. Pray that the messages touch the heart of the calendar recipient.
• Read the daily Scripture verses in your devotional time. Reflect on the reading and turn your thoughts into prayer and action.
• Read the gospel reading (listed each Sunday) prior to weekly worship. God speaks to you through his word.
• Find out about the significant days listed in the calendar. For example, 24 August is the Feast Day of St Bartholomew. Find out about St Bartholomew (and the other significant people and days listed in the calendar). Reflect on the feast days and days of national celebration and pray for your country, its leaders and people, as well as current societal issues.
• Each month includes a suggestion related to Lutheran Media and its work. Pray for open ears and hearts so that your Messages of Hope bring Christ to those who seek hope.
