LCA Secretary returns to parish ministry
Pastor Neville Otto, the LCA’s Secretary of the Church since 2009, has returned to parish ministry. Pastor Otto accepted a call to Box Hill, Victoria, late last year, and was installed in his new role at the suburban Melbourne parish by Victoria District Bishop Lester Priebbenow on 3 February.
Pastor Otto joined the LCA office in the dual roles of LCA Mission Director and Secretary of the Church. After a role restructure, Pastor Otto took on the sole position of Secretary in 2016. Ordained in 1995, he served at Alice Springs, then Epping New South Wales, before becoming New South Wales District Bishop in 2006.
LCA Bishop John Henderson farewelled Pastor Otto as Secretary in December 2018, saying that God had ‘blessed the church and our office’ through his ministry. ‘We have appreciated your passion for the gospel, your cheerfulness, your commitment to your work and your willingness to provide advice and assistance’, Bishop Henderson said.
