A guide for prayer and reflection during Pentecost

22 May 2025

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

You are invited to join God’s mission by praying for – and with – our mission partners during Pentecost, using LCA International Mission’s new ‘Pentecost Devotional and Prayer Guide’. This guide features 33 devotions written by LCA International Mission partners from around the world.

Acts 2 tells the powerful story of Pentecost, when people from all nations – Parthians, Medes, Elamites; residents of Mesopotamia, Judea and Cappadocia; Pontus and Asia, Phrygia and Pamphylia, Egypt and the parts of Libya near Cyrene; visitors from Rome (both Jews and converts to Judaism); Cretans and Arabs – heard the Galilean followers of Jesus proclaim the mighty works of God in their own languages.

This story reminds us that while there may be one gospel, the Holy Spirit reveals that gospel through countless images, words, music and cultures.

As we mark 50 days after Easter, may this prayer and devotional guide encourage you to reflect on the work of the Holy Spirit in your own life, respond to God’s love and pray for the connections and ministries of our international partners.

An electronic copy of the full devotional is available to download on the LCA International Mission website. Please email lcaim@lca.org.au or phone 08 8267 7317 to request a printed copy.
