ALC library on the move
The much-anticipated relocation of Australian Lutheran College’s (ALC) library commenced on 19 May 2025, with experienced library removalists Ready Movers taking charge of the process.
The library is in the process of moving to 22 Pulteney Street, Adelaide, following an extensive search for a suitable site that can accommodate the weight and requirements of a large academic collection.
The move is part of ALC’s broader relocation to the new LCANZ Church House at 139 Frome Street, Adelaide.
ALC Principal Tim Stringer said the prominent location would ensure continued access to the library for students and professionals and provide potential for greater community engagement.
The move will take several weeks to complete, and library patrons are encouraged to postpone visiting the new library until 1 July 2025. ALC staff must vacate the current North Adelaide campus by 30 June 2025. Staff will work remotely until Church House is ready for occupancy later this year.
