Share the good news confidently

Do you ever feel awkward, ill-equipped, unqualified or unprepared to share the gospel? Do you know someone who is curious about the gospel, Jesus or the Christian faith, but you just aren’t sure of the next steps? Do you wish you could more freely share the gospel in a natural way with your friends, family, workmates or neighbours?

If you answered ‘yes’ to any of these questions, the Gospel Fluency five-part video resource with discussion guides will equip you to share the good news confidently. A great blessing for you and your congregation!

Gospel Fluency is designed to give you a vocabulary, context and some actual practice in sharing the good news in words and actions with those around you.

Do you feel comfortable speaking the good news of Jesus to others? When learning a new language, we need vocabulary, grammar and practice – it’s the same with learning to speak and share the gospel naturally. It’s good to have some words to share, a context in which to speak, and also, crucially, some practice that will build confidence! At first, it may feel awkward and clunky, but it gets easier and much more natural!

Practical tools to help you grow in gospel fluency

Sessions include:
  • Deep listening to God’s word and each other through Dwelling in the Word exercises
  • Video presentation of practical content
  • A discussion guide and practical exercises to guide your learning in small groups
  • Time for prayer and an introduction to the importance of prayer in sharing the gospel
  • Biblical explorations, equipping you to be confident in God’s mission and call
  • A practical way to map your relationships for the sake of sharing the gospel
  • An introduction to the critical importance of listening in gospel-sharing
  • The chance to grow in gospel fluency through practice and reflection on your own situations
  • An introduction to helpful next steps for people who are curious about Jesus or the gospel
  • Many helpful resources for further training or study
Over five sessions, you'll explore:
  1. Introducing gospel fluency: deep listening, prayer and learning a new language
  2. The ‘why’ and ‘who’ of gospel fluency: What are the motivations for sharing the gospel? Who is God calling us to share the gospel with?
  3. The ‘what’ of gospel fluency: What is the gospel? What tools can I use to share the gospel more fluently?
  4. The ‘what’ and ‘when’ of gospel fluency: more tools and formats for gospel-sharing, making a plan and putting it into practice
  5. Deepening gospel fluency: putting it into practice and sharing in community

There are also additional resources for further reading, study, training and discipleship.
