Telstra Partnership

The LCANZ has negotiated phone, landline, cybersecurity and internet connectivity packages with Telstra for its agencies. This includes congregations, aged-care and community services, schools and early childhood services, and churchwide and district offices and agencies. The LCANZ's partnership with Telstra utilises our collective buying power to secure benefits for all entities of the church. This is a great example of what we can achieve when we work together.

What is the deal? What is being offered?

Plans cover:

Mobile phones, accessing the full Telstra network Australia-wide
Landlines and voice calling systems, scalable from small congregations through to large entities
Cyber security through email and DNS security to protect against cyber attacks and hijacking
Internet/interoffice connectivity from basic broadband through to enterprise-grade routers with firewalls and 24x7 managed service monitoring.

Enterprise-level support will be provided for all plans.

What sort of savings might be achieved?

Reduced pricing for services has been negotiated for church entities, and some plans with discounted pricing have been created especially for the LCANZ. Savings will vary, depending on each entity’s current services usage and supplier.

As an example, a Telstra congregation plan ranging from $65 to $144 a month will include a landline connection, internet connection, cyber security on email and domain name, plus 24/7 support. These services could cost up to $600 a month from another retail service provider.

What value does this offer provide?

The Telstra offer is highly likely to provide a greater quality of overall service than what church entities are receiving now, particularly in the area of cyber security. It will be very easy to select the required services from a pre-planned menu organised by the Churchwide Office. Telstra’s experienced delivery partner team, TAA Connect, is on board and will act as an IT support sounding board, ready to help guide church leaders to identify the best options for their congregation or agency.

Ready to apply?

After you complete and send the application form (using the link below), our LCANZ IT team will confirm your eligibility for this Telstra service. After that, a representative of TAA Connect (a Telstra partner) will contact you. The representative will work with you to assess your needs and decide on the best service plan for you. If your service needs are large or complex (eg ten landlines), a site visit might be required. Landlines and internet connections may take some time to install. Other services, such as mobile phones, are relatively quick and easy to install.
