It’s no joke!

If people have escaped from the corrupting forces of the world through their knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, and then are again caught and conquered by them, such people are in a worse state at the end than they were at the beginning. It would have been much better for them never to have known the way of righteousness than to know it and then turn away from the sacred command that was given them.          (verses 20,21)

Read 2 Peter 2:10b-22

They gave out gold passes to The Greatest Show on Earth. And I, from a poor struggling family, got one. I was so privileged! It was bliss. The show was coming from 25 October to 30 November. I could go to any show any time for the duration of its stay.

I took the gold pass, tore it to shreds and threw it in the gutter. Without the pass I wasn’t allowed in.

It didn’t happen. Just joking! But wouldn’t that have been foolish?

Father, through Jesus you bless me with a gold pass to eternity. By your Spirit let me welcome Jesus in every phase of my life. Amen.
