Retirement Living Code of Conduct: Special Offer and Interest Request

1 October 2024

by Mary Sofoclis
Print Friendly, PDF & Email

Recently, we organised a webinar with the Retirement Living Code of Conduct (the Code) after it was brought to our attention that some of our member organisations were dealing with some tricky situations with their residents. The session generated interest and provided valuable insights into how the Code can support smoother operations and enhance resident relationships.

For those of you who missed the webinar, the Retirement Living Code of Conduct establishes key standards for retirement living communities, ensuring transparency, safety, and respect for residents. It promotes integrity in marketing and operations, clarity in financial matters, and a commitment to high-quality services. With a proactive complaints’ mechanism, it ensures issues are resolved swiftly, fostering trust and a quality living environment for residents.

Starting November 1, 2024, a special introductory subscription fee will be available:

– $100 per village

– $1.50 per Independent Living Unit (ILU)

– $50 initial application fee per village

I’ve been in discussions with Deborah – the Code Administrator to organise a special package for our members. If you’re interested in participating in the Code supporting the negotiation process, please let me know via email at mary.sofoclis@lca.org.au as we may be able to negotiate better prices as a collective.

The Retirement Living Code of Conduct is a great tool for promoting transparency and improving resident satisfaction.
