The Lutheran Church of Australia Payroll System (LCA Payroll) will help you manage ministry support functions:

  • payroll administration and payment, using STP2-compliant processes
  • superannuation guarantee payments
  • leave records management
  • interpretation of legislative requirements and other compliance and regulatory requirements
1. Who is required to submit a timesheet? Expand

Award-based employees – required to submit

Award-based employees annualised wage – required to submit

Salaried employees – strongly preferred

2. Why is it important to submit a timesheet? Expand

For you: provides you with records that you are paid correctly for all hours worked

For us: helps us meet our record-keeping obligations and ensure compliance with the Fair Work Act

3. What are the options to record your time? Expand

Option 1: Recurring time pattern – Ask payroll to set your standard working hours once. The system will have an action option to automatically populate your timesheet.

Option 2: Manual daily entry – Log your hours worked each day. This is ideal if your schedule varies.

4. Can I change my email address and username in the new payroll account? Expand

Yes. After setting up your password and enabling two-factor authentication, you can update your email address to either your work or personal email. Tip: If you want to change your username, please ensure that you provide your legal name rather than a nickname or fictitious name.

5. Will my previous payslips be available in the new payroll system? Expand

Previous payslips will not be imported from Preceda. The last date for downloading any payslips you need from Preceda was 31 December 2025.

6. What should I do if I think I have been paid incorrectly? Expand

If you notice a discrepancy in your pay, please review the timesheet you submitted. The amount paid is directly affected by the hours entered in your timesheet. Your pay may also be impacted if the timesheet was not approved on time.

If you have checked the above and still do not understand the discrepancy, please submit a ticket with the LCA Payroll team for further assistance.

Tips for filling out a timesheet Expand

1. Log time frequently: Don't rely on memory at the end of the week.

2. Be specific: Note the type of work if claiming different allowances.

3. Review before submitting: Double-check for accuracy.

4. Submit at the end of your last day of work so approvers/managers have time to review and approve.
