Join us in praying for drought relief
The South Australia – Northern Territory District invites all congregations to acknowledge and pray for communities impacted by drought with a special service of praise and prayer on Sunday 31 August.
Resources, including a fully pre-planned worship service, readings, prayers and a video sermon, are available on the Worship Planning Page at www.lca.org.au/worship/wpp/seasonal-resources-times-of-crisis-or-natural-disaster
Congregations are also welcome to use these worship resources on a Sunday that best suits their community.
On Tuesday 12 August, an online prayer gathering was held to pray for communities affected by drought, hosted by both metro and rural pastors and lay people. For those who weren’t able to attend, the recording of the gathering is available at https://sant.lca.org.au/events/prayergathering
This initiative was born out of the recent SA–NT District Convention, where delegates from drought-affected areas shared firsthand how deeply their communities are struggling. In response, the district committed to offering spiritual support through prayer and worship.
