Lutheran Media, in partnership with Lutheran Earth Care, has received a grant from the Lutheran Church of Australia’s Special Ministry Fund to launch a new two-part podcast series, ‘Caring for Creation’. The first episode, ‘Home and Community’, explores how we can reflect God’s love by caring for the places we live.

In the episode, Tania Nelson from Lutheran Media meets with Cathryn Hamilton, a passionate environmental advocate and educator in urban futures and sustainable environments.

Cathryn reflects on her belief that it takes a community to care for creation, and God has entrusted us as stewards of all parts of creation. ‘Every little element that I see, touch, hear and feel is all part of God’s creation. In what I do in my yard, in what I do on my verge on my side street, I care for God’s creation. We can see it groaning at times, and we need to respond,’ she says.

New booklet: To hope and act with creation

In a world that often sees nature as a random outcome of science, Christians believe that all of creation is the intentional work of a kind and loving God.

In this new booklet, To hope and act with creation, Neil Bergmann explores the complex beauty of creation and our response to care for what God has entrusted to us.

Download it at www.messagesofhope.org.au/creation-booklet and share it with your community to inspire deeper conversations about stewardship and faith.
