Ministry with the Ageing

‘Preparing for my funeral’ is a new resource developed by the LCANZ’s Committee for Ministry with the Ageing, which is designed to take away some of the stress of preparing a funeral for a family member or other loved one.

Despite any fears we may have about the future of our church, God is at work in our communities. The green shoots of growth in his kingdom include new congregations being planted around the LCANZ. And now you have the chance to play your part in this exciting mission work.

Staff, students and supporters of Australian Lutheran College (ALC) from around Australia were able to participate in ALC’s 2020 commencement event last week, thanks to modern technology.

‘Facing death can be a time of heightened emotion and extreme vulnerability. It is also a space in which sensitive and experienced chaplains can do their best work of connection, compassion and care. We stay with people as fellow travellers on this path.’
