Registrations open for ‘Riding the Waves of Change’ mission conference
The LCANZ’s New and Renewing Churches department will host an open-day conference on 29 June 2022 in Adelaide. All are welcome to attend, and registrations are now open.
The ‘Riding the Waves of Change’ conference will be a full-day program featuring scholars, practitioners and church leaders from around the world. They will be in Adelaide for the annual gathering of the International Research Consortium (IRC).
The IRC studies, reflects on and researches ‘missional’ local churches, addressing both the theological and the social scientific studies of Christian congregations and the systems that support them in innovating their life and mission.
The conference will explore how:
- churches have attempted to ride the waves since Word War II
- to move churches struggling with social change and decline into an effective missional mode
- to assess a congregation’s willingness/likelihood of successful missional change
- leaders create a holding space through liminal movement.
The IRC Open Day will be held at Adelaide West Uniting Church in South Australia. The cost is $75, including lunch and coffee. For more information, click here, or to register, click here. Registrations close on 25 June.
