Crying out loud
So all your loyal people should pray to you in times of need;
when a great flood of trouble comes rushing in,
it will not reach them.
You are my hiding place;
you will save me from trouble.
I sing aloud of you r salvation,
because you protect me. (verses 6,7)
Read Psalm 32:1-7
Testing had begun . I was very unwell. I lay on the couch for days, weakened by whatever ailed me, waiting to be hospitalised for further tests. One Saturday night, as friends visited , I collapsed and had to be rushed to hospital.
For days I lay in Queensland heat getting weaker and weaker. The tests were not helpful. My husband cried, and I lay awake at night thinking the worst and pondering my sin, for I felt God was ready to take me home. I asked for forgiveness. I prayed long and hard for God to clean every fibre and niche of my being and to refill me with his love and goodness. I was ready to go home. Miraculously God healed me. No diagnosis. No medicine. Just crying aloud to him.
While I marvel at the knowledge, wisdom and expertise of medical men and women , I just shout for joy to the Rock who saves.
Lord, I come to hide in you. You reach down and hold me secure in your love. Let my song of praise be heard and let others come to know they are safe with you. Amen.
