Upcoming webinar: connecting with your community

4 September 2025

At the May 2025 Networking Forum, our first session on community was such a success that members requested a follow-up conversation. We’re delighted to confirm that an online session has now been scheduled for Thursday, 12 September at 12.30 pm. If you haven’t received your meeting invite, please contact Mary at mary.sofoclis@lca.org.au.

The forum session, Connecting with Your Community, was led by Chris Seiboth, CEO of Anuha, and explored how organisations can create meaningful, lasting impact within their communities using the Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) model. Chris highlighted the importance of recognising community strengths, local history, and the lived experiences of residents as the foundation for genuine engagement.

Participants were also introduced to Profile ID, a powerful tool for accessing detailed demographic and social data, such as population breakdowns, housing trends, health statistics, and economic profiles that can inform planning across aged care, community, and health services.

The session closed with encouragement to explore Profile ID and other tools, alongside a proposal for further online workshops to delve deeper into data-driven methodologies and program design. Our members were also invited to consider the Bain & Company Human Needs Pyramid, designing programs that not only address functional and emotional wellbeing, but also nurture purpose and belonging in community life.
