A prayer for child and youth camps

Heavenly Father, we pray for Christian Life Week camps that are being organised in various locations around Australia for the mid-year school holidays.

We pray for the leaders that are preparing for the camps. Guide them in their preparation. Bless their planning and actions as they share the love of Jesus with the young people in their care.

We pray for the campers. May they come to know that you love children, youth and young adults. Help our young people grow in their understanding that the kingdom of God belongs to them, too.

We pray for the congregations, parents and grandparents who send their young folk to camps. May they value the learning and experiences that come from the camps. Help all to find ways to honour our young people and their contributions to the mission and ministries of local congregations.

Send your angels to protect our campers and the camp leaders.
