Messages of Hope for Mother’s Day

Mother’s Day can be a great time to share Messages of Hope with the people in your congregation or local community on your social media pages, during worship, or as a devotion for the various groups that meet at your church during the week.

Many of the Messages of Hope have a corresponding short video that can be viewed online on our website.

‘What’s special about your mum?’, ‘Parenting – finding the fun?’ and ‘How do you grieve when your mum or dad is facing the end of their life?’ are some of the topics that will be featured on Messages of Hope in May. Parenting – finding the fun

Mothers are special, but loving your kids isn’t always easy. Are you wondering if there is any fun in being a parent? Trips to and from school and sporting events, sleepless nights, juggling schedules – it’s easy to lose focus and miss out on the fun moments. God is like a loving parent who empathises with you. He has lots of love and support to help you through the tough times and enjoy the fun times.

In our free ‘Parenting – Finding the Fun’ booklet, Julie Hahn, mother of three grown-up children, parenting trainer and mentor, has experienced many ups and downs as a parent. She empathises as a non-perfect parent herself and offers her insights and encouragement to inspire you as a parent. Through this booklet, you’ll discover the fun in being a parent.

When preschool ended that day, for the first time ever, I squatted down and held my arms out as wide as I could. My children spread out their arms and ran into mine. I’m glad they knew what to do because it was new to me. But it restored the smile that had gone missing.
