Sinners into saints

30 November 2018

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

Now all has been heard; here is the conclusion of the matter. Fear God and keep his commandments, for this is the duty of all mankind. (verse 13)

Read Ecclesiastes 11:9-12:14

Robin Mark is one of my favourite Christian singer/song writers. He composed a song call ‘When it’s all been said and done.’ The first verse is: When it’s all been said and done. “There is just one thing that matters. Did I do my best to live for truth? Did I live my life for you?” Our reading begins with, ‘Now all has been heard’. Basically, when it’s all been said and done there is only one conclusion to be made – ‘Fear God and keep His commands.’ This is what our hearts and lives are to be like, but I, like so many other human beings, fail so many times. That’s when God comes to us, we repent and ask for forgiveness and he is faithful and just to forgive us. What about you? Be encouraged today friend, love God and love others. Because he loves you, no matter what! ‘Lord, your mercy is so great, that you look beyond our weakness. That you found purest gold in miry clay turning sinners into saints.’

Which commandments do you struggle with?

Lord Jesus, I come to you today in my weakness. Help me to love you and love others all the days of my life. Amen.
