A lectionary is a list of Bible readings for each day or week for a period of time. The Revised Common Lectionary (RCL) is used by many denominations including the Lutheran Church of Australia.<\/p>\n
It is a three-year cycle of readings. The years are designated A, B, or C. Each yearly cycle begins on the first Sunday of Advent. All the resources on the Worship Planning Page are based on the RCL.<\/p>\n

Using an order of worship ensures that the proper balance and emphasis is given to the most important elements of worship.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t\tApproved Liturgical\/Service Orders\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/a>\n\t The Commission on Worship and other scholars have written extensively on the biblical and theological underpinnings of our worship. These continue to inform and guide the church in its practice.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t\tBiblical and Theological Resources\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/a>\n These resources have been prepared by the Committee of Cross Cultural Ministry drawing upon their collective wisdom and experience in this area.
