Drama

Dramatising the Readings

The readings can be read by more than one person to make the dramatic meaning of the text clearer.

For instance, the first reading could be read by three readers: narrator, the Lord, Jeremiah (verse 6); and the second reading could be read by two readers, A and B:
A: verses 1-3
B: verses 4-7
A: verses 8-10
B: verses 11-12
A & B: verse 13
The gospel could be read by three readers: narrator (the pastor), Jesus, one of the people.
