As many of you as were baptised into Christ
have clothed yourselves with Christ. (Gal 3:27 NRSV)
OR
There is no longer Jew or Greek,
there is no longer slave or free,
there is no longer male and female;
for all of you are one in Christ Jesus. (Gal 3:28 NRSV)
Prayer of the day - (Collect):
Traditional
Grant, O Lord,
that the course of this world
may be so peaceably ordered
by your government,
that your church may joyfully serve you
in all godly quietness;
through your Son,
Jesus Christ our Lord,
who lives and reigns
with you and the Holy Spirit,
one God, now and forever.
Amen.
Modernised Traditional
Lord, govern the world
and keep it in peace,
so that your church may joyfully serve you
in all quietness.
We ask this through your Son,
Jesus Christ our Lord,
who lives and reigns
with you and the Holy Spirit,
one God, now and forever.
Amen.
Alternative
(Let us pray that we may desire the eternal blessings of God. [silence])
Strengthen our faith, Lord,
so that we do not set our hearts on earthly things,
but love the things of heaven.
As we are surrounded
by things that are passing away,
help us to cling to those that will last forever.
We ask this through your Son,
Jesus Christ our Lord,
who lives and reigns
with you and the Holy Spirit,
one God, now and forever.
Amen.
New
(Let us pray that we live in unity with one another. [silence])
Thank you, heavenly Father,
that you have clothed us with Christ,
and made us one in him.
Break down all barriers
that divide us,
and teach us to live in harmony
as members of your family.
We ask this through your Son,
Jesus our Lord,
who lives and reigns
with you and the Holy Spirit,
one God, now and forever.
Amen.
Alleluia Verse
Alleluia, alleluia.
Jesus said to the man from whom the demons had gone:
‘Return to your home, and declare how much God has done for you.’
Alleluia.

This is the gospel of the Lord.
Praise to you, O Christ.
Thank you, Lord Jesus,
for rescuing people in bondage to Satan.
Let us serve you as your free people.
Amen.

Loving heavenly Father,
you have made us yours and set us free to serve you.
Teach us to give of ourselves
out of thankfulness for all you have done.
Amen.
Additional Prayer Points
Services with Holy Communion:
Preface
It is indeed right and good,
Lord God, holy Father,
that we should at all times and in all places
give thanks to you,
through Jesus Christ our Lord.
(On this day)*
he overcame death by his resurrection
and opened up for us
the way to eternal life with you.
And so, with angels and archangels,
and with all the company of heaven,
we adore and praise your glorious name:
* The words ‘on this day’ are used only on Sundays.
Communion Invitation
Jesus says: ‘I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never be
hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty.’ Come, for
everything is ready.
OR
Jesus says: ‘My flesh is true food and my blood is true drink. Those
who eat my flesh and drink my blood remain in me, and I in them.’
Come, for everything is ready.
OR
This cup of thanksgiving for which we give thanks is a communion in
the blood of Christ. This bread that we break is a communion in the body
of Christ. Come, for everything is ready.
Prayer after Communion
See the service order for a standard post-communion prayer. Alternatively, use the third prayer of the day (as listed above) at this point. It may be modified as follows.

but love the things of heaven.
As we are surrounded
by things that are passing away,
help us to cling to those that will last forever.
We ask this through your Son,
Jesus Christ our Lord,
who lives and reigns
with you and the Holy Spirit,
one God, now and forever.
Amen.
