Drama

Dramatising the Readings

The readings can be read by more than one person to make the dramatic meaning of the text clearer.

For instance, reading 1a from Ruth could be read by three readers: narrator, Naomi, one of the women; reading 1b from 1 Kings by four readers: narrator, voice of the Lord, Elijah, the widow; and the gospel by two readers: narrator (the pastor), and Jesus.
