Worship when you can't get to church
Are you finding it hard to attend Sunday worship with your congregation? Whether it is because of illness, distance to your church or work demands, attending church can be difficult for some people.
Lutheran Media and the Commission on Worship want everyone to have the opportunity to worship and receive the grace of God given to us through Jesus Christ. So we have partnered together to produce weekly worship DVDs and live-streamed weekly worship services.
Thanks to the St Michael’s Lutheran Church in Hahndorf, South Australia, and the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Toowoomba, Queensland, weekly worship services are offered freely. The DVDs are great for people who can’t get to church, who would like to see what a Lutheran worship service is like, and for congregations to use as their worship service when they don’t have a pastor. You can watch the whole service, only the sermon, or simply sing along with the songs. You can watch worship services on any internet device at any time.
Go to www.livestream.com/luthworship to join with the people at St Michael’s Lutheran Church, Hahndorf. You can watch live or during the week. These resources are great for individuals, small groups, aged-care facilities and school devotions. The DVDs and live streaming are available free of charge, although donations to support them to continue are gratefully received. To receive a regular copy of the worship service DVD, phone Lutheran Media, go to www.lutheranmedia.org.au/worship or call us on 1800 353 350 (free call).
