Almost six in 10 Lutheran pastors in Australia have dealt with domestic and family violence (DFV) situations, and almost all LCA clergy have responded to victims of abuse, national survey findings suggest.
The LCANZ is seeking to gain knowledge on ways in which religious beliefs and practices are used by some men to perpetrate domestic violence. The research has been commissioned by the church’s Campaign for the Prevention of Domestic and Family Violence task force.
