What I really count on
Remember, 0 LORD, your kindness and constant love
which you have shown from long ago.
Forgive the sins and errors of my youth.
In your constant love and goodness,
remember me, LORD! (verses 6,7)
Read Psalm 25:1-10
I can count on God’s protection. Even though I am surrounded by danger and hostility, I know that God will keep me safe.
I can count on God’s truth. When I want to know how to lead my life, I look to God and his word and can be confident of the answers.
I can count on God’s goodness. He always has my welfare at heart.
I can count on God’s leadership. If I submit myself to his authority, I know he will lead me in the right direction.
I can count on God’s teaching. He knows the answers and is willing to guide my understanding.
I can count on God’s faithfulness. He will always keep his promises to me.
What I really count on, however, is his love and forgiveness. Despite my history of rebellion and betrayal, his commitment to me never wavers, and even though I continue to mess up, when I turn back to him he is always ready to forgive.
Lord, thank you for the great love you have for me and the confidence I can have that your love for me never changes. Amen.
