Evangelism is about learning the art of discipleship for the ‘lost’; spiritual direction for the orphans of God. We are sent by God into the fields of harvest, sent seeking the orphans of God — Dean Eaton
Events, Training and Conferences
International Research Consortium Open Day
The International Research Consortium (IRC) is gathering in Adelaide on 1 July 2020 for an open day as part of their annual conference. The full-day program will feature scholars, practitioners and church leaders from around the world. The IRC is an interdenominational group and learning community, comprising around 40 people from Europe, the UK, the US, South Africa and Australia from a range of denominations, including Anglican, Lutheran, Reformed and Presbyterian. The membership is a mixture of missional scholars and practitioners, who either teach at universities or seminaries or provide training and support for those in the field.
SENT conferences bring together pastors, congregational members, church planters and others keen to explore the nature of evangelism, church planting and missional leadership in the LCA/NZ. SENT 2019 was focused on the mission of the church, with particular reference to the person and work of the Spirit. This theme tied in with the release of a new book and associated video resources by Noel Due and Steen Olsen called Spirit Filled: Normal Christian Living. SENT was offered in two locations in 2019 Adelaide and Brisbane. Dates and locations will be shared on this page once they have been set for our next SENT conference.
New Horizons Conference
New Horizons provides a retreat space for missional leaders, church planters and pastors.
New Horizons is a blessing to many and the theme for 2019 was much needed and coincided with the release of a new book and associated video resources by Noel Due and Steen Olsen, called Spirit Filled: Normal Christian Living. The focus was on missional leadership with particular reference to the person and work of the Spirit.
