A new Cross-Cultural Ministry course is now available
After months of collaboration, Australian Lutheran College and Cross-Cultural Ministry are delighted to launch a new online training course to serve those in the LCANZ who want to engage with ethnic newcomers.
The course systematically addresses the ‘why’ and ‘how’ questions of effective cross-cultural ministry and can be undertaken by individuals or small groups.
Each of the six sessions (topics) takes about three hours and covers things like:
- the biblical basis for cross-cultural mission and ministry
- who are we trying to reach?
- how do we start?
- building a bridge
- becoming a more welcoming congregation
- including ethnic newcomers as we make decisions.
We offer some coaching support for those willing to step out and start talking to these new neighbours. The course is free of charge in 2022.
Please email crosscultural@lca.org.au for further information and enrolment details.
