where love comes to life
by Pastor Fraser Pearce
Therefore confess your sins to one another, and pray for one another, so that you may be healed (James 5:16).
Devote yourselves to prayer, keeping alert in it with thanksgiving. At the same time pray for us as well that God will open to us a door for the word (Colossians 4:2,3a).
Let us test and examine our ways, and return to the Lord. Let us lift up our hearts as well as our hands to God in heaven (Lamentations 3:40,41).
And now, O Lord God, as for the word that you have spoken concerning your servant and concerning his house, confirm it for ever; do as you have promised (2 Samuel 7:25).
Then Eli answered, ‘Go in peace; the God of Israel grant the petition you have made to him.’ And she said, ‘Let your servant find favour in your sight’ (1 Samuel 1:17,18a).
And will not God grant justice to his chosen ones who cry to him day and night? (Luke 18:7a)

But Israel, who pursued a law of righteousness, has not attained it … because they pursued it not by faith but as if it were by works (Romans 9:31,32a).
Jesus warned them sternly, ‘See that no-one knows about this’. But they went out and spread the news about him all over that region’ (Matthew 9:30b,31).
