Overview

An essential obligation of every governance team member is to ensure their organisation is financially solvent. This course covers an introduction to the three most important financial statements (Income and Expenditure, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow Statements). Explore each of the elements and most importantly how to interpret the data so that it becomes meaningful information for decision making.

The course assumes no prior financial knowledge and is designed for all board or council members who do not have any financial or accounting training. Bring along copies of your organisation’s financial statements and learn to understand them better in a safe and confidential environment.
