Radio

For 65 years Lutheran Media Ministry has been bringing the good news of Jesus Christ to people through radio. That might seem to be an ancient method of communication these days, but think about it: what do you listen to when you're in your car? Or when you're sick of listening to CDs and want a bit of conversation in the background instead? Radio - it's still alive and well. And since most Australians listen to radio at some time or other, broadcasting messages is a cost-effective way of spreading the good news of Jesus Christ.

Every week Lutheran Media programs are broadcast nearly 600 times on over 500 stations across Australia to an estimated audience of 1 million people. The programs are held in high regard by radio managers and their audiences. Special programs are broadcast on Good Friday and Christmas Day.

Face to Face

Face to Face is a weekly 15-minute program that offers you gospel-centred hope (whether you go to church regularly or not), using a contemporary easy-listening mix of messages and music to help you cope with life. The challenging and relevant messages, written and presented by a team of pastors in their own unique styles, draw appreciative responses from a wide cross-section of the community. Full-length interviews are being produced once a month. as they are a powerful way to communicate real-life issues and how God helps people like you deal with life and its challenges.

Our Face to Face programs are supported with offers of free booklets offering practical advice with a Christian perspective.

Programs are broadcast on more than 500 radio stations throughout Australia. Phone 1800 353 350 or go to our website to find a station near you, and listen in. You can listen to or download the spoken message at www.facetoface.org.au

Lutheran Media Ministry also produces one-minute Face to Face programs, which are designed to grab the listeners’ attention. They mostly consist of 30-second interviews followed by 30 seconds of comments and offers of booklets that deal with the issues discussed. Sixteen programs are broadcast each week on seven ACE Network radio stations throughout country Queensland, Victoria and New South Wales, as well as on Flow FM Network (regional South Australia, Tennant Creek, Yarra Ranges), 5BBB (Barossa Valley, SA), 4WK (across the Darling Downs, Qld), 4SB ( Kingaroy, Qld), 4VL (Charleville, Qld), 4LM (Mt Isa, Qld), 4HI (Emerald, Qld), 2CH (Sydney, NSW). There are plans to further extend coverage in the future.
