Former South Australian Director of Children, Youth and Family Ministry, Peter Eckermann has been appointed to the new position of National Coordinator Faith Inkubators Australia.
Since travelling to USA last year a team of Australians have been working hard to establish Faith Inkubators in Australia.
As a result, The Lutheran Church of Australia has recently committed itself to using the Faith Inkubators systems and Peter will play the leading role in the implementation of the systems throughout the church. He will provide leadership in the training and support for pastors, congregations and schools as they incorporate the systems into their local ministries.
Faith Inkubators exists to incubate faith every night in every home by spearheading a Christian education reform that restores parents as the primary faith teachers, mentors and role models for their own children with church as reinforcement - not replacement - of the parent’s duties.
A series of conferences will be held across Australia and in New Zealand in July and August 2008. More details will be available in the near future.
