Giraffe Youth Leadership Training

What is Giraffe training?

A live-in program to equip people with skills for effective leadership in ministry

  • Reflection on God's presence in your life

Course Aims

Growing............ in God's Word:

An overview of the entire Bible, to enable participants to gain a knowledge, understanding and appreciation of God's word.

Growing........... in Ministry:

Gain a solid understanding of effective ministry - its philosophy and practice. Build on practical skills for working with people in your local community and congregation

Growing.......... in Christian Faith:

Develop a deeper knowledge, understanding and appreciation of your Christian faith. Grow in your Christian faith and life, so that you may contribute more fully to the life of the church.

Participant’s Contribution

Participants accepted into the course will generally agree to the following:

  • Full time participation in all subjects and activities of the course
  • Shared accommodation
  • The desire to put into practice that which has been learned, for the benefit of your local congregation and/or District

Course Details

The cost includes accommodation, meals, resource material, lecture fees etc. Students will need to make their own transport arrangements. We can assist by making participants aware of others who are travelling from their own state.

Price

To be advised. Successful applicants receive a sponsorship kit that includes help on fundraising and shows a breakdown of the course fees.

Financial assistance is available from: fundraising, self generated monies, local church.

Registration

Because of the learning style of the course, numbers are limited. Applicants will be 18 years of age and over, actively involved in their church, and have an interest in serving their Lord.

Applicants will be selected on the basis of the information received. It is important to note that a lack of ministry experience should not be a deterrent to prospective applicants.
