Lutheran Nurses Association of Australia
The Lutheran Nurses Association of Australia (LNAA)
- is an auxiliary of the Lutheran Church of Australia
- was founded in 1991
- has members in all states of Australia
- encourages members to see their profession as a service to Christ
- provides spiritual support and practical guidance for members
- promotes opportunities for discussion, mutual sharing, moral support and fellowship
Membership
- is open to registered and enrolled nurses, student and retired nurses who are members of the Lutheran Church of Australia.
- has an annual fee of $25 ($20 for full-time student nurses, retirees, and non-working members).
- includes IN TOUCH newsletter (published 6 times each year) which contains feature articles, meeting details, news, professional development information, devotional and biblical studies, personal stories, anecdotes, discussion topics and more.
- Associate membership is open to Lutheran para-medical staff, and nurses from other Christian denominations.
Meetings
Meetings are held bi-monthly in Adelaide. Seminars are arranged periodically in regional centres. The annual general meeting is normally held in July.

- 27 November Nurse education - past, present and future (Dr Anne van Loon, RN PhD)
- 5 February The challenge of HIV/AIDS in Papua New Guinea (Margaret Voigt, RN)
Meetings begin at 7.30pm and are held at the SA District Office, 137 Archer Street North Adelaide.
