The severe poverty in rural
Cambodia means diseases like malaria, dengue fever and TB are dangerous. Half the children under 5 years old suffer malnutrition. As ALWS partners train Village Health Volunteers, you can support the building of a local Health Centre to serve one commune of 10-14 villages in the Oral District. You help provide life-protecting health-care to
around 800 people.

water helps keep
children safe from

reliable water close by frees
families to earn extra income. You provide the Sphere standard allowance of 15 litres of water per person per day to 700 people. Includes borehole drilling (up to 70 metres deep), hand-pump and installation, and concrete platform.

communities are
desperate for
the children to
receive an
education that can
set them free from
poverty. You can
completely restore
a school of 10
classrooms, using
bricks, stone, sand,
cement and wood. The
school looks after the
labour. When completed, these schools can cater for between 150-400 students. 16 schools needed.
